Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Kesime iOS app. By tapping agree on the welcome screen or by using Kesime, you accept these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. The studio
Kesime lets you:
- Choose a retro scene and place a portrait into a still
- Keep that still in a library on this phone, with optional notes and a voice memo
- Bring a still to life with quiet motion (breath, hair, light), without adding a new story or props
Kesime is not a social network, not a cloud backup service, and not a face-identification product. Generation needs the internet. The library you keep lives on the device unless you share a file yourself.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use Kesime only with a parent or guardian’s permission. You are responsible for the portraits you submit.
3. No account
Kesime does not create a Kesime login. A local display name and profile photo, if you set them, are stored on the device. Losing the phone, deleting the app, or using Clear Data can remove that library. Keep copies of pieces you want to keep through the share sheet.
4. Credits
Creating a scene still costs credits. Bringing a still to life costs additional credits. The current amounts are shown in the app at the moment you confirm (today: 100 credits for a still, 300 credits for quiet motion). Credits are a digital balance inside Kesime. They have no cash value outside the app, are not transferable, and expire only if Apple or these Terms require otherwise.
Credits are purchased through Apple In-App Purchase. Apple’s terms apply to payment, taxes, and refunds. If a generation step fails and the app can confirm that failure, Kesime returns the credits for that step.
5. Your content
You retain whatever rights you already have in portraits you provide. You grant Kesime a limited license to process that portrait (and a still, when you ask for motion) solely to complete the request you started.
You represent that you have the right to use each portrait — including permission from people who appear in it, where that permission is required. Do not submit content that is illegal, exploitative, or that you are not allowed to use.
Generated stills and motion pieces are provided for your personal, non-infringing use in the app. Likeness, lighting, and scene details can vary. Kesime does not guarantee a perfect match to the source portrait.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Kesime to harm, harass, or impersonate someone without a lawful basis
- Attempt to disrupt generation or the app
- Reverse engineer the app except where the law allows
- Resell credits or automated access to generation
- Upload material that you do not have the right to use
We may refuse a request or stop providing the app if these Terms are broken.
7. Generation results
Stills and motion pieces depend on network generation. Availability and visual quality can vary. Output may occasionally change identity, clothing, or setting. If that happens, you may try again; credits are returned only when the app records a failed request, not when you dislike a successful result.
8. Voice memos and notes
Written notes and microphone memos are optional studio remarks on a piece. They stay on the device. They are not used as prompts for a new still or motion render unless you type that text into the brief field yourself.
9. Disclaimer
Kesime is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and uninterrupted or error-free generation. We are not liable for lost files after you delete the app, clear data, or fail to keep a copy, or for results you find unflattering or inaccurate.
Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for credits in the three months before the claim, or USD 10, whichever is greater, except where the law says otherwise.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms. The date at the top will change. If you continue to use Kesime after an update, you accept the new Terms.
