PORTRAIT STUDIO

Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 12, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Kesime (“Kesime”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you use the Kesime iOS app. Kesime is a portrait studio: you place a portrait into a retro scene still, keep that still in a library on your phone, and may later give the still quiet motion.

Please read this policy together with our Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use Kesime.

For this policy, “personal information” means information that identifies you, alone or combined with other information available to us. It does not include technical data that cannot reasonably identify you, or aggregate data with individual identities removed.

1. What Kesime is — and is not

Kesime does not require an account. There is no Sign in with Apple, Google, or other login wall. You may set a local display name and optional profile photo on the device. Those values stay in the app’s local storage unless you clear them.

Finished stills, motion videos, written notes, and voice memos you keep are stored in Kesime’s library on this phone. Creating a new still or motion piece needs an internet connection. Kesime does not keep a separate cloud album of your library.

2. Information on your device

With your use of the app, Kesime may store on the device:

You can remove this local library from Settings with Clear Data. That action cannot be undone.

3. Permissions

Kesime asks for system permissions only for the feature you are using. You may refuse or later turn them off in iOS Settings. Refusing a permission limits that feature; the rest of the studio remains available.

Saving a piece out of Kesime uses the system share sheet. You choose where it goes (for example Photos). Kesime does not request add-only Photos access to write into the system library by itself.

4. Generation (service data)

To make a still, you provide a portrait and choose a scene (and optional brief). Kesime sends that portrait and the scene instructions over an encrypted HTTPS connection so a still can be created and returned to the app.

To bring a still to life, Kesime sends that still and motion instructions over HTTPS so a short motion video can be created and returned. Motion is limited to quiet movement already implied by the still (for example breath, hair, light). Kesime does not add a new story, props, or people as part of that step.

Submitted portraits are used only to complete the still or motion you asked for. Kesime does not operate a public face database, does not sell portraits, and does not use your portraits to train a Kesime model.

Please keep copies of results you care about in your Kesime library or through the share sheet. If a generation request fails, credits for that step are returned in the app when the app can confirm the failure.

5. Likeness and facial processing

Scene stills are designed to keep a recognizable face from the portrait you provide. Generation models may inspect the portrait (including face, hair, clothing, and pose) solely to place you in the chosen scene or to keep identity stable while adding quiet motion.

Kesime does not:

You should only submit portraits of people who have agreed to this use, or portraits you are otherwise allowed to use.

6. Technical information

When a generation request is made, standard network information is created in transit (for example IP address, time, and device type as seen by the connection). We may also see crash or error text needed to diagnose a failed render. Kesime does not run a separate analytics or advertising SDK listed in this policy.

7. App Tracking Transparency

On iOS, Kesime may show Apple’s tracking prompt. You may choose Allow or Ask App Not to Track. Either choice still lets you use the studio.

If you allow tracking, Apple’s Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) and related install or performance signals may be used to measure whether Kesime is working as intended and to keep the experience relevant. We do not use tracking data to build a personal advertising profile inside Kesime.

You can change this later: iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → Kesime.

8. Cookies

The Kesime app does not use cookies to log you in. These legal pages are static HTML. If you open them in Safari, the browser may store ordinary site cookies; Kesime does not use cookies on these pages to track you across other apps.

9. How we use information

We use the information described above to:

We do not disclose your portraits or generated pieces except: (a) as needed to complete a still or motion request you started; (b) when you share them yourself; or (c) when required by law, a valid warrant, or a court order.

10. Your choices

11. In-app purchases and refunds

Credits are sold through Apple In-App Purchase. Refund requests are handled by Apple under Apple’s App Store rules, for example via reportaproblem.apple.com or Apple Support. Kesime cannot issue an App Store refund on Apple’s behalf.

12. Children

Kesime is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through Kesime, contact us and we will delete it as quickly as we reasonably can. A minor should use Kesime only with a parent or guardian’s guidance.

13. Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy. Material changes will be posted on this page.
